Ludlow Kingsley is a creative studio that loves to conceive, design and build digital experiences for people, brands and events. We work on projects of all sizes, from designing cookie boxes to selling them on socially-engaged global plaforms. Our favorite work is typically our latest, as we tend to talk our clients in to doing something new and fun.

Over the holidays, we mailed out custom-designed chocolate bars to our clients as gifts. As we entered the new year, we found ourselves with a lot of extra bars, and wondered what to do. Eat them? Build a chocolate window display, and then eat that? While both these options were very tempting, we had a Eureka moment: let's turn the candy into cash for a good cause.
We reached out to our near neighbors — the wonderfully awesome, world-famous 826LA — about building a fun, stop-motion website to sell the extra chocolate, donating all proceeds to their cause. They loved the idea, so we hit the ground running!
826LA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.
Their services are structured around the understanding that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention, and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success. With this in mind, 826LA provides after-school tutoring, evening and weekend workshops, in-school tutoring, help for English language learners, and assistance with student publications.
All of their programs are challenging and enjoyable, and ultimately strengthen each student's power to express ideas effectively, creatively, confidently, and in his or her individual voice.
